Your Mission as an Automotive Maestro

As an Automotive Mechanic, you are the ultimate problem solver, and your mission is to keep vehicles in tip-top shape. Your responsibilities include:

  • Adjusting, repairing, or replacing automotive system parts and components with precision.
  • Reviewing work orders and discussing tasks with your trusted supervisor.
  • Testing and fine-tuning units to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Completing comprehensive reports to document issues and work performed.
  • Inspecting and testing mechanical units for any faults or malfunctions.
  • Diagnosing faults and malfunctions, collaborating with your supervisor to determine repair or replacement needs.
  • Keeping equipment and tools in prime working condition.
  • Performing basic automotive maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Estimating costs for parts and labor, helping clients make informed decisions.
  • Transporting tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Keeping workspaces and machines clean and tidy.
  • Providing top-notch customer service, because happy customers are our priority.
  • Diagnosing issues and providing solutions to clients, explaining repairs and options.
  • Performing test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to identify vehicle problems.
  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid replacement, and brake servicing.
  • Repairing vehicle body damage, including painting and washing exteriors.
  • Creating repair timetables and estimates, discussing choices with customers.
  • Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure vehicles meet state standards.
  • Keeping meticulous records about clients, vehicle details, parts, and service history.
  • Using shop equipment, conducting routine maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Participating in ongoing learning to stay up to date with the latest industry advancements.
  • Explaining mechanical problems and potential solutions to clients.

Your Qualifications

  • Fluent in the English language.
  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally, 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification is a bonus.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and judgmental skills.
  • Organized and flexible in your approach.
