Your Mission as a Environmental Service Worker -Housekeeper
- Upholds a clean environment in both resident suites and common spaces of the Residence.
- Complies to the entire range of company policies, processes, and philosophies.
- Performs diligently to meet industry standards and legal requirements.
- Adheres to the rules established by several regulatory authorities, including the Ontario Retirement Communities Association [In accordance with the Retirement Homes Act of 2010 and Ontario Regulation 166/1]
- Follows compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Maintains full confidentiality in all resident and operational matters at the Residence.
- Shows respect, makes informed decisions, and prioritizes the safety and well-being of residents and guests.
- Follows the Social Media Policy to ensure extra caution and professionalism.
- Applies ethical standards when handling highly sensitive data.
- Regularly prioritizes the safety and privacy of residents and their belongings.
- Accepts to changes in regulations and standards to guarantee compliance.
- Demonstrates a dedication to professionalism and ethics throughout all aspects of Residence operations.
Your Experience
- You must be able to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
- Ability to understand and perform tasks effectively, express any significant issues concerning residents and their care, and complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Applicants must be ready to be devoted to multidisciplinary teamwork and exhibit the capacity to collaborate, make shared decisions, and implement integrated plans.
- Must successfully complete a Police Records Check and reveal any convictions, charges, restraining orders, probation orders, and/or warrants obtained during the course of employment that have any bearing on the clear Police Records Check.
- A Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) document or a physician’s note stating that the patient is free of infectious disease is required.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not not mandatory.
- Experience in laundry operation is desirable but not mandatory. Must understand the basis of good laundry techniques/practices.
